Mirror mirror on the wall, what is the wierdest movie of all?

This movie was promising, it had me hooked by a awesome trailer, the story line was so promising. It had it all to be honest!

So, old mirror with a paranormal past. Concept of amityville horror, the shining and the ring girls all into one. New family moves and they get new furniture and a antic mirror is placed in the office. Now hell enters and the storyline flashes between childhood memories and present .  The movie starts with a young man at his 21 birthday being released from the mental hospital, sane as he can be and meets up with his sister.  The sister has gotten hold of the mirror for a few days and she wants to clear the family name. So the question that they struggle with, whats real and what is not.

My review?
Its a 5 out 10
The movie destroyed itself halfway and it just became annoying with all the flashbacks. It was such a shame because it was such a promising storyline. The whole movie lost itself and I was just annoyed in the end.

Lone Survivor 2013/2014

Image So here is the latest from the war movies, that hit the screen. My father was a huge fan of war movies and Sunday afternoons was his movie time, The Green Berets, Kelly’s Heroes, Apocalypse Now, Platoon, The Dirty Dozen and much more. There will always be a question of which movie is the greatest. For me, it is Apocalypse Now that stunned me for days and it still does. Many are still talking about Saving Private Ryan and 4th of July. Since my early teens was filled with my fathers war movies and M.A.S.H, (sighs and giggles), I left that genre for a long time. This movies popped up and I thought let’s give it a try.

So here we go, theme of courage, honor, brotherhood and codes. These brave men have a mission to get the most wanted Taliban. its hard not to watch a war movie without your political conviction. Does this movie have more than that? Does it have character and a storyline that goes with it? Based on a true story of these marines. this brings me to the question.

Was it worth watching?

Its a 7 out of 10

It was, it was good. They tried very desperately to give it more depth. Some scenes worked and some did not. Acton and drama and some codes of honor. If your feeling for some action and some depth in characters, please do watch it.

Oz The Great and Powerful

image

There is much to say about Disney, some are great and some are not so great. Here is a old classic, taking us back to the beginning of Dorothy’s saga. The saga of the great Oz.

So, a con artist has to take a quick getaway in a hot air balloon. He gets stuck in a storm and lands somewhere else.

Boy meets girl, girl wants boy, and boy o boy, the adventure takes of.

The grimm saga had a weird trial of cinema frenzy and did not work. Almost like the dry spell of new movie ideas ran out and old fairy tales had to hit the big screen. Oz is in the same catagory. Why make it, i have asked myself.

My review?
Its a 5,5 out of 10
Its a beautiful movies, and with that i mean the scenery. The story line is a bit thin. The plot is well not that surprising and the characters are okey.

So if you want a fantasy, adventure movie on a sunday afternoon. Be my guest!
